Legal basis for data collection
Personal data is collected on the basis of a legal obligation, in accordance with:
- the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) No. 2016/679;
- the amended Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, known as the "Data Protection Act" ("Informatique et Libertés");
- Article L. 123-1 of the French Environmental Code, governing public participation procedures;
- Article L.181-10-1 of the French Environmental Code;
- the technical specifications set out in Article R.181-36;
The legal basis for the processing is compliance with a legal obligation, in connection with the public consultation procedure provided for by the above-mentioned texts. No explicit consent is required for data strictly necessary for this purpose. If additional data were to be collected for another purpose (e.g., sending communications), specific consent would be requested from you.
Purposes pursued
Data is collected for the following purposes:
- To collect public contributions as part of a voluntary engagement process set up by the project developer;
- To allow contributions to be analyzed and taken into account in order to enrich the discussion and, where appropriate, adapt the project;
- To inform the public about the project, its characteristics, its impacts, and the terms of participation (based on consent);
- To facilitate the technical and operational management of the engagement platform by authorized service providers (contractual obligation).

Data related to the opinion:
- Content of the contribution (mandatory)
- Any attachments (optional)
Technical data:
- IP address (mandatory)
- Timestamp of the start and end of submission (mandatory)
Sensitive data:
No sensitive data is collected.
Data recipients
Data is accessible only to:
- the facilitators of the engagement process (Acceptables Avenirs);
- the project developers (Developer's name);
- the technical service provider responsible for the secure digital register.
These parties are bound by strict confidentiality. No data will be sold or used for other purposes.
Data retention period
Data will be retained only for as long as strictly necessary for the analysis and archiving of the process:
Active data collection: from 03.06.2026
The end date of the voluntary engagement process corresponds to the publication of the engagement report or the opening of the Concurrent Public Consultation platform.
Data deletion: 16 months after the official submission of the report(s) by the inquiry officer(s). After this period, the data will be deleted or anonymized for statistical purposes only.
